SEC. 2. Election and campaign periods.—Unless otherwise fixed by the Commission on Elections, hereinafter referred to as the Commission, in special cases, the election period shall commence ninety days before the day of the election and shall end thirty days thereafter. The campaign period for the election on May 14, 1984 shall commence on March 27 and shall end at midnight of May 12, 1984. Campaigning shall be prohibited on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, the day before the election and on election day.
