SEC. 33. Definitions. — In this Code — (a) The term "political committee" includes any committee, association or organization which accepts contributions or makes expenditures for the purpose of influencing or attempting to influence the election of candidates, whether it be a national or local committee of a political party, or a branch thereof. (b) The term "contribution" includes a gift, donation, subscription, advance, or deposit of money or anything of value and embraces a contract, promise, or agreement to contribute, whether it be legally enforceable or not. (c) The term "expenditure" includes the payment or delivery of a contribution, advance, deposit, gift or donation of money or thing of value, and includes a contract, promise, or agreement to make an expenditure whether it be legally enforceable or not. (d) The term "person" includes an individual, partnership, committee, association, corporation, and any other organization or group of persons.
