Section 4

SEC. 4. The Chief of the Office of Adult Education shall be known as the Director of Adult Education. He shall receive an annual compensation not exceeding five thousand pesos to be fixed by the President of the Commonwealth, and shall have subordinate personnel, whose aggregate salaries, to be fixed by the Secretary of Public Instruction, shall not exceed ten thousand pesos per annum. The Director of Adult Education shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines, with the consent of the Commission on Appointments of the National Assembly, and the subordinate personnel shall be appointed by the Director of Adult Education with the approval of the Secretary of Public Instruction.
