SEC. 44. Payment of Portion of Salary and Alowances to Heirs of Members.-In case any member of the Integrated National Police is entitled to such salary and allowances provided in Presidential Decree No. 855, as amended, the Director General may direct that so much of the absent member's salary and allowances necessary for the reasonable support of his heirs or dependents and/or payments of insurance premiums, be paid by the Integrated National Police for a period of twelve months from the date of commencement of absence.
