Preamble

WHEREAS, in the preparation of P.D. 1636, a very important provision regarding the maximum coverage earning or compensation of all SSS members has been deleted; WHEREAS, under the present decree, only the schedule of payment of monthly contributions appeared without mentioning the maximum salary from which said deductions should be charged; and WHEREAS, the paragraph which has been in-advertently omitted will be beneficial to employees; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree the amendment of Section 12 of P.D. No. 1636:
