SEC. 3. Department of Justice personnel and appropriations related to court administration. — The items of personnel listed in Annex A hereof, as well as the incumbents thereof and the unexpended balance of appropriations for their salaries, as provided for the Department of Justice in the current General Appropriations Act, are hereby transferred to the Supreme Court. The incumbents of the said positions shall remain in the Supreme Court until June 30, 1973 unless retained by the said Court beyond that date: Provided, That the employees not so retained shall be paid a gratuity at the rate equivalent to one month's salary for every year of service rendered but not exceeding twelve months on the basis of the last salary received, chargeable against savings in appropriations for the courts, any provisions of law, decree, rule or regulation to the contrary notwithstanding: Provided, further, That if said employees are entitled to gratuity or pension under any retirement law, they, shall select either the gratuity or pension under the said retirement law or the gratuity provided for in this Decree.
