Preamble

WHEREAS, Act No. 4166, as amended, otherwise known as the Sugar Limitation Law, shall expire by the end of the 1973-1974 crop year (August 31, 1974), pursuant to Republic Act No. 279; and WHEREAS, continuance of the effectivity of the said Act, as amended, is in the national interest; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby decree and order:
