Preamble

WHEREAS, under Presidential Decree Numbered Four Hundred Ninety Two dated June 27, 1974, it has been declared to be the policy of the State to rationalize and integrate public transportation services; and WHEREAS, with the integration of the four (4) cities and thirteen (13) municipalities of Metro Manila, it becomes necessary to amend certain section of Presidential Decree Numbered Four Hundred Ninety Two in order to expedite the rationalization and integration of public transportation services in Metropolitan Manila; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby decree and order:
