Preamble
WHEREAS, among the illustrious leaders of the country whose name is revered by all Filipinos is the late President Jose P. Laurel, Sr., the beloved son of the province of Batangas; and WHEREAS, it has been the tradition of the Filipino people to name important buildings, bridges and highways after illustrious leaders of the country to perpetuate their names and memories; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree:
