SEC. 17. Section 35 of the same Act is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 35. False Statement. - The willful making of a false or misleading statement on a «:f(. material fact to the Monetary Board or to the examiners of the Bangko Sentral shall be punished by a fine of not less than One hundred thousand pesos (P100,000) nor more than Two million pesos (P2,000,000), or by imprisonment of not more than five (5) years, or both, at the discretion of the court."
