Section 1

SECTION 1. The Medina Extension Hospital in the Municipality of Medina, Province of Misamis Oriental is hereby converted into a general hospital to be known as the First Misamis Oriental General Hospital which shall be under the direct control and supervision of the Department of Health (DOH). Henceforth, the First Misamis Oriental General Hospital shall cease to be an extension of the Northern Mindanao Medical Center, Cagayan de Oro City. Any future increase in bed capacity and upgrading of health care services and facilities shall be based on the hospital development plan which shall be prepared by the DOH.
