Section 1

SECTION 1. There shall be established a multi-specialty hospital in the City of Tayabas, Province of Quezon to be known as the Southern Luzon Multi-Specialty Medical Center, which shall be under the direct control and supervision of the Department of Health (DOH). The hospital shall be designated as one of the apex hospitals of the Southern Luzon regions. Any future increase in bed capacity and upgrading of health care services and facilities shall be based on the hospital development plan which shall be prepared by the DOH.
