SECTION 1. Section 5 of Republic Act No. 10533 or the "Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013," is hereby amended to read as follows: "SEC. 5. Curriculum Development. - x x x. "x x x. "The DepEd shall adhere to the following standards and principles in developing the enhanced basic education curriculum: "(a) x x x; "(b) x x x; "(c) x x x; "(d) x x x; "(e) x x x; "(f) x x x; "(g) The curriculum shall employ the approach deemed most effective by the DepEd to ensure mastery of knowledge and skills after each level: Provided, That the curriculum and approach shall be subject to review at least once every five (5) years to determine their relevance and effectiveness in achieving the educational goals, following a systematic curriculum development process determined by the DepEd; and "(h)
