SEC. 22. The General Auditing Office.&mdashThe Auditor General shall receive and audit all accounts of the city, in accordance with the provisions of law relating to Government accounts and accounting. The city auditor shall be appointed by the Auditor General and shall receive a salary of five thousand one hundred pesos per annum, one half to be paid by the National Government and the other half by the city.
