SECTION 1. The first sentence of section twenty-four of Commonwealth Act Numbered Fifty-eight, as amended by Republic Act Numbered Sixty-seven, is further amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 24. The Bureau of Audits.—The Auditor General shall appoint an auditor for the city who shall rank as chief of a city department and shall receive a salary of four thousand eight hundred pesos per annum, payable from the funds of the city."
