SEC. 2. The same Act is amended by inserting between Sections two and three thereof, two new sections to read as follows: "SEC. 2-A. The rank and qualifications for appointment to the position of chief state prosecutor, assistant chief state prosecutors and chief prosecutor of the Deportation Board shall be the same as those prescribed for judges of courts of first instance; the rank and qualifications for appointment to the position of state prosecutors and trial attorneys of the Deportation Board shall be the same as those prescribed for provincial fiscals. "SEC 2-B. The officials, state prosecutors and trial attorneys hereinabove mentioned shall be appointed by the President with the consent of the Commission on Appointments: Provided, That the incumbent chief prosecuting attorney, trial attorneys IV and other trial attorneys and employees occupying positions affected by the preceding sections at the time of the effectivity of this Act, shall continue to occupy their respective positions and receive the salary increases herein provided without the necessity of any new appointment."
