SEC 2. Section two of Republic Act Numbered Three thousand five hundred ninety-six is amended to read as follows: "SEC. 2. Any existing law to the contrary notwithstanding, there shall also be eight Trial Attorneys to be appointed by the Secretary of Justice upon recommendation of the Solicitor General, and whose salaries shall be as follows: "(a) Two Trial Attorneys, seven thousand eight hundred pesos per annum each; "(b) Two Trial Attorneys, seven thousand two hundred pesos per annum each; "(c) Two Trial Attorneys, six thousand six hundred pesos per annum each; "(d) Two Trial Attorneys, six thousand pesos per annum each. "The incumbent Solicitor General, First Assistant Solicitor General, and all incumbent Assistant Solicitors General, Solicitors and Trial Attorneys occupying positions affected by the preceding section at the time of effectivity of this Act, shall continue to occupy their respective positions and receive the salary increases herein provided without the necessity of any new appointment."
