Functions and duties of the Board.

Section 3

SEC. 3. Functions and duties of the Board.—The Board shall have the following functions and duties: To administer the provisions of this Act; To administer oaths in connection with the adminis­tration of this Act; To prepare the official seal of the Board; To issue, suspend, and revoke certificates of regis­tration for the practice of social work; To look into the conditions affecting the practice of social work in the Philippines, and, whenever necessary, adopt such measures as may be deemed proper for the maintenance of the good standing and the ethics of the profession of social work; and To investigate such violations of this Act or of the rules and regulations issued thereunder as may come to the knowledge of the Board, and, for this purpose, to issue subpoenas and subpoenas duces tecum to secure the appearances of witnesses and the production of documents in connection therewith.
