SEC. 32. Section thirty-six of the same Act is amended to read as follows: “SEC. 36. The Assistant City Health Officer. —There shall be an assistant city health officer who shall act as city health officer in the absence or incapacity of the city health officer, and shall perform such other duties as may be imposed upon him by the city health officer or prescribed by law or ordinance. He shall be appointed by the Secretary of Health upon the recommendation of the city health officer and the city Mayor and shall receive a salary of not less than eight thousand seven hundred pesos per annum."
