SEC. 4. The first paragraph of section eighty-five of the same Act is amended to read as follows: "SEC. 85. The Bureau of Education.- The Director of Bureau of Education shall exercise the same jurisdiction and powers in the city as elsewhere in the Philippines. The division superintendent of schools for the Province of Pangasinan shall be the ex officio superintendent of schools for the City of Dagupan, and such shall receive an additional compensation of one thousand pesos, payable from the funds of the said city."
