SEC. 2. Section two of the same Act is hereby amended to read as follows: "SEC. 2. In order to carry out the provisions of this Act for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred sixty-eight, the Commissioner of Public Highways, with the approval of the Commissioner of the Budget, is hereby authorized to charge the salary differentials of the officials whose salaries are herein standardized against the appropriations for "Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses" under the General Appropriations Act for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-eight, for the Bureau of Public Highways."
