Section 2
SEC. 2. Unless the laws creating the positions provide otherwise, the salaries of the provincial fiscals and city fiscals and their assistants referred to in Section one of this Act will continue to be paid by their respective provinces and cities based on the salary rates fixed in Republic Acts Numbered Seventeen hundred and ninety-nine and Eighteen hundred and thirty-six and by the provisions of the charters of the said cities, and the difference between these salaries and those provided for in Republic Act Numbered Forty-one hundred and forty-two shall be paid out of national funds.
