Section 7

SEC. 7. The Mayor.-The Mayor shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines with the consent of the Commission on Appointments and shall hold office at the pleasure of the President. He shall receive a salary of not exceeding three thousand pesos per annum. With the approval of the Secretary of the Interior first had the Mayor may be provided, in addition to his salary, a non-commutable allowance of not exceeding two thousand pesos per annum.
