City Departments.

Section 18

SEC. 18. City Departments.—There shall be the following city departments over which the mayor shall have direct control and supervision, notwithstanding any existing law to the contrary: 1. Department of Finance 2. Department of Engineering and Public Works 3.Law Department 4.Prosecution Department 5. Department of Health 6. Police Department 7. Fire Department 8. Department of Assessment Consistent with law, the city council may, from time to time, make such readjustment of the duties of the several departments as the public interest may demand, and with the approval of the City Mayor, may create, merge and/ or consolidate any department,division or office city with any other department, division or office
