SEC. 26. The Assistant City Treasurer.—There shall hem an assistant city treasurer who shall assist the city treasurer in the discharge of his official duties. He shall perform such other duties as may be imposed upon him by the city treasurer or prescribed by law or ordinance. He shall be appointed by the Mayor upon recommendation of the city treasurer and subject to the approval of the Secretary of Finance, and shall receive a salary as provided for by law. The assistant city treasurer shall have authority to administer oaths concerning notices and notifications to those delinquent in the payment of the real estate taxes and concerning official matters relating to the city treasury or otherwise arising in the offices of the city treasurer and the city assessor.
