Procedure in city court in prosecution for violations of law and ordinances.

Section 82

SEC. 82. Procedure in city court in prosecution for violations of law and ordinances.—In a prosecution for the violation of any ordinance, the first process shall be a summon; except that a warrant for the arrest of the offender may be issued in the first instance upon the affidavit of any person that such ordinance has been violated, and that the person making the complaint has reasonable grounds to believe that the party charged is guilty thereof, which warrant shall include: "Against the ordinances of the city in such cases made and provided." All proceedings and prosecution for offenses against the laws of the Philippines shall conform to the rules for the judiciary of the Philippines, and such rules shall govern the city court and its officers in all cases insofar as the same may be applicable.
