Section 27

SEC. 27. The Assistant City Engineer.&mdashThere shall be an assistant city engineer who shall assist the city engineer in the discharge of his official duties. He shall be appointed by the Mayor, upon the recommendation of the city engineer and subject to the approval of the Secretary of Public Works and Communications. He shall receive a salary of four thousand eight hundred pesos per annum. In the absence of the city engineer, the assistant city engineer shall assume his powers and duties.
