Section 27

SEC. 27. Chief of secret service.-There shall be a chief of the secret service who shall, under the chief of police and fire department, have charge of the detective work of the department and of the detective force of the city, and shall perform, such other duties as may be assigned to him by the chief of police or prescribed by law or ordinance. The chief of secret service shall receive a salary of not exceeding one thousand four hundred and forty pesos per annum.
