Section 6

SEC. 6. Composition, Appointment, and Designation. — The Council shall be composed of seventeen (17) members as follows: Nine (9) members to be appointed by the President of the Philippines. Any or all of these nine (9) members may or may not be officials of the Government and they may include professionals from the academe and the private sector; Four (4) Senators to be designated by the Senate President in consultation with the Majority Floor Leader and the Minority Floor Leader of the Senate; and Four (4) Congressmen to be designated by the Speaker of the House of Representatives in consultation with the Majority Floor Leader and the Minority Floor Leader of the House; The President shall appoint the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Council from among its members.
