Appointments.

Section 1

SECTION 1. Appointments.— The President shall, with the consent of the Commission on Appointments, appoint ambassadors, other public ministers, and consuls. The President may, in his discretion, assign any Foreign Affairs Officer to serve as minister resident, charge d' affaires, commissioner, or diplomatic agent for such period as the public interest may require.
