SEC. 20. Definition of Terms Used in Part II, The Law on Patents. – As used in Part II, the following terms shall have the following meanings: 20.1. "Bureau" means the Bureau of Patents; 20.2. "Director" means the Director of Patents; 20.3. "Regulation" means the Rules of Practice in Patent Cases formulated by the Director of Patents and promulgated by the Director General; 20.4. "Examiner" means the patent examiner; 20.5. "Patent application" or "application" means an application for a patent for an invention except in Chapters XII and XIII, where "application" means an application for a utility model and an industrial design, respectively; and 20.6. "Priority date" means the date of filing of the foreign application for the same invention referred to in Section 31 of this Act. (n) CHAPTER IIPATENTABILITY
