SEC. 45. The Provincial Fire Station Service. - There shall be established in the province at least five fire stations with adequate personnel and fire fighting facilities and equipment, subject to the standards, rules and regulations that may be promulgated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), within two months l1pon the commencement of the corporate existence of the new province. The provincial government shall provide the necessary land or site of the provincial fire stations. The provincial fire station service shall be headed by a provincial fire marshal whose qualifications shall be as those provided for under Republic Act No. 6975, otherwise known as the Philippine National Police Law. The provincial fire stations shall be responsible for the provision of various emergency services such as the rescue and evacuation of injured people at fire-related incidents and, in general, the fire prevention and suppression measures to secure the safety of life and property of the citizenry.
