s 28 Disinfection of vehicles
28.—(1) An authorised officer may require the disinfection of any vehicle or conveyance —(a) entering or leaving an area declared to be an infected area, under section 35; or (b) which has been used in the transport of any animal or bird infected with or in the opinion of the authorised officer infected with disease. (2) Any person who, without lawful excuse, fails to comply with any requirement under subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
