s 38 False statements
38. Any person who, in relation to any application under this Act —(a)
makes any false statement which the person knows to be false or does not believe to be true or which the person makes recklessly; or
(b)
intentionally suppresses any material fact,
shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $50,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both.
