s 9 Determination of appointment
9. Without affecting sections 7(3), 10 and 11, the appointment of any member of the Majlis determines —(a)
upon his or her death;
(b)
if, by writing addressed to the President of Singapore through the Chief Executive, he or she resigns the appointment; or
(c)
if he or she is absent from Singapore, without written permission from the President of the Majlis on behalf of the President of Singapore, for a period exceeding 3 months.[33/2017]
