s 9 When registration must be refused
9. Despite any provision in this Act or any other written law, but subject to a right of appeal under section 8(7) (if any), the Registrar must refuse to register a person and the person’s business name under this Act where the Registrar is satisfied that —(a) the business is likely to be used for an unlawful purpose or for purposes prejudicial to public peace, welfare or good order in Singapore; (b) it would be contrary to the national security or interest for the person to be registered; or (c) the person is a foreign company that is not registered under Division 2 of Part 11 of the Companies Act 1967.
