s 114 Duration of copyright in authorial works
114.—(1) Where an authorial work is first published within 50 years after the end of the year in which the work is made, any copyright in the work expires —(a) if the author is identified within 70 years after the end of the year in which the work is first published — 70 years after the end of the year in which the author dies; and (b) if not — 70 years after the end of the year in which the work is first published. (2) Where an authorial work is first published more than 50 years after the end of the year in which the work is made, but is made available to the public other than by publication within those 50 years, any copyright in the work expires —(a) if the author is identified within 70 years after the end of the year in which the work is first made available to the public — 70 years after the end of the year in which the author dies; and (b) if not — 70 years after the end of the year in which the work is first made available to the public. (3) In any other case, any copyright in an authorial work expires —(a) if the author of the work is identified within 70 years after the end of the year in which the work is made — 70 years after the end of the year in which the author dies; and (b) if not — 70 years after the end of the year in which the work is made. (4) This section is subject to section 110(1)(b) (expiry of copyright upon publication).
