s 29 Unauthorised provision of cross-border train service
29.—(1) A person must not provide a cross‑border train service unless the person — (a) is authorised to do so by a cross‑border train service licence; or (b) is authorised to do so by contract with a person mentioned in paragraph (a) (called in this Act a subcontractor). (2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $50,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $5,000 for every day or part of a day during which the offence continues after conviction.
