s 9B Appointments and promotions
9B.—(1) Subject to section 8, the Minister may do the following:(a)
appoint or promote a member to the rank of lieutenant‑colonel and above;
(b)
reduce the rank of a member of the rank of lieutenant‑colonel and above.[53/2018]
(2) Subject to section 8, the Commissioner may do the following:(a)
appoint or promote a member to the rank of major and below;
(b)
reduce the rank of a member of the rank of major and below.[53/2018]
(3) The Commissioner may delegate the power under subsection (2) to any officer of the rank of lieutenant‑colonel and above.[53/2018]
