s 13Q Impersonating community relations officer or auxiliary community relations officer
13Q.—(1) An individual who represents himself or herself, by word or conduct to be a community relations officer or an auxiliary community relations officer, when he or she is not a community relations officer or an auxiliary community relations officer (as the case may be), shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,500 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both. (2) However, it is a defence in any proceedings for an offence under subsection (1) where the accused proves, on a balance of probabilities, that the accused used or possessed the equipment or identification card issued under section 13E for the purposes of a public entertainment provided in compliance with the Public Entertainments Act 1958.[Act 43 of 2024 wef 24/03/2025]
