s 12 Public Prosecutor’s fiat
12.—(1) Despite any provision in this Code, the Public Prosecutor may by fiat, and on such terms and conditions as he or she thinks fit, permit any person to prosecute, on the person’s own behalf, any particular offence punishable under the Penal Code 1871 or any other written law, or to pursue any further proceedings in such prosecution.(2) The person to whom the fiat is granted under subsection (1) may either appear in person or by an advocate. —(1) Despite any provision in this Code, the Public Prosecutor may by fiat, and on such terms and conditions as he or she thinks fit, permit any person to prosecute, on the person’s own behalf, any particular offence punishable under the Penal Code 1871 or any other written law, or to pursue any further proceedings in such prosecution.
