s 77 Regulations

77.—(1) The Agency may, with the approval of the Minister, make regulations —(a) for or in respect of every purpose which is necessary for carrying out the provisions of this Act; (b) for prescribing any matter which is authorised or required under this Act to be prescribed; and (c) without limiting paragraphs (a) and (b) for or in respect of the matters specified in the Third Schedule. (1A) Regulations made under this section may make different provision for different classes, descriptions or types of goods, persons, premises or works.[Act 24 of 2021 wef 28/02/2022] (2) The Agency may, with the approval of the Minister, in making any regulations, provide that any contravention of or failure to comply with the regulations shall be an offence punishable with —(a) a fine not exceeding $50,000 or with imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or with both; and (b) in the case of a continuing offence, a fine not exceeding $2,000 for every day or part of a day during which the offence continues after conviction. (3) All regulations must be presented to Parliament as soon as possible after publication in the Gazette.
