Films Act 1981 s 6

s 6 Licence to import, distribute or publicly exhibit film

6.—(1) A person must not, unless authorised to do so by a licence or class licence —(a) import any film in the course of any business; (b) distribute any film in the course of any business; or (c) publicly exhibit any film in the course of any business.[25/2018] (2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction —(a) to a fine not exceeding $40,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both; and (b) in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $500 for every day or part of a day during which the offence continues after conviction.[25/2018]
