s 2 Purposes of Act
2. The purposes of this Act are — ( a ) to authorise some gambling and prohibit the rest as unlawful gambling; ( b ) to prohibit advertising of unlawful gambling; ( c ) to minimise social harm associated with gambling, including problem gambling; ( d ) to ensure the integrity and fairness of gambling and ban irresponsible gambling products and practices; and ( e ) to limit opportunities for crime or dishonesty associated with gambling and the conduct of gambling.
