s 7 Disqualification from membership and vacation of office
7.—(1) A person is not eligible to be appointed or to remain a member of the Board if the person —(a) is an undischarged bankrupt; (b) has been convicted of an offence by a court of law in Singapore and sentenced to imprisonment for a term of not less than 6 months and has not received a free pardon; or (c) has a mental disorder and is incapable of managing himself or herself or his or her affairs.[21/2008] (2) The office of a member of the Board becomes vacant —(a) on the death of the member; (b) if the member, without sufficient cause acceptable to the Minister, fails to attend 3 consecutive meetings of the Board; (c) if the member becomes subject to any of the disqualifications specified in subsection (1); or (d) if the member resigns his or her office.
