s 23B Provision of passenger and crew information in advance by master, etc., of train due to arrive in Singapore
23B. —(1) The master, operator, owner, agent or charterer of every train which is due to arrive at any train checkpoint in Singapore from a place outside Singapore must, upon being given reasonable prior notice in writing by the Controller to comply with this section — ( a ) within such time prior to the arrival of the train at the train checkpoint, in such form and manner and containing such particulars of the crew as may be prescribed, furnish to the Controller a complete and accurate list of all the crew who are or will be on board the train at the time of its arrival at the train checkpoint; [Act 31 of 2023 wef 31/07/2025] ( b ) within such time prior to the arrival of the train at the train checkpoint and in such form and manner as may be prescribed, furnish to the Controller a complete and accurate list of all passengers who are or will be on board the train at the time of its arrival at the train checkpoint; and [Act 31 of 2023 wef 31/07/2025] ( c ) furnish to the Controller a complete and accurate list of all passengers disembarking in Singapore, containing such particulars regarding one or both of the following: (i) advance passenger information; (ii) information recorded in the passenger reservation system for that train, within such time prior to the arrival of the train at the train checkpoint and in such form and manner as may be prescribed. [18/2012] [Act 31 of 2023 wef 31/07/2025] (2) The Controller may at any time by notice in writing to the master, operator, owner, agent or charterer of a train, revoke the notice given to that person under subsection (1). [18/2012] [Act 31 of 2023 wef 31/07/2025] (3) Any person who contravenes subsection (1)( a ), ( b ) or ( c ) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000.
