s 23D Provision of passenger and crew information in advance by driver, etc., of bus due to arrive in Singapore
23D. —(1) The driver, operator, owner, agent or charterer of every bus which is due to arrive at any authorised point of entry in Singapore from a place outside Singapore must, upon being given reasonable prior notice in writing by the Controller to comply with this section — ( a ) within such time prior to the arrival of the bus at the authorised point of entry, in such form and manner and containing such particulars of the crew as may be prescribed, furnish to the Controller a complete and accurate list of all the crew who are or will be on board the bus at the time of its arrival at the authorised point of entry; ( b ) within such time prior to the arrival of the bus at the authorised point of entry and in such form and manner as may be prescribed, furnish to the Controller a complete and accurate list of all passengers who are or will be on board the bus at the time of its arrival at the authorised point of entry; and ( c ) furnish to the Controller a complete and accurate list of all passengers disembarking in Singapore, containing such particulars regarding one or both of the following: (i) advance passenger information; (ii) information recorded in the passenger reservation system for that bus, within such time prior to the arrival of the bus at the authorised point of entry and in such form and manner as may be prescribed. (2) Subsection (1)( b ) and ( c ) does not apply to an omnibus. (3) The Controller may at any time, by notice in writing to the driver, operator, owner, agent or charterer of the bus, revoke the notice given to that person under subsection (1). (4) Any person who contravenes subsection (1)( a ), ( b ) or ( c ) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000. (5) The offence under subsection (4) is a strict liability offence.
