s 42 Signing on or bringing as member of crew any person with intent to land contrary to this Act
42. Any transportation company and any person, including the master, operator and owner of a vessel, aircraft, train or bus arriving in Singapore, who — ( a ) has knowingly signed on the ship’s articles or brought to Singapore as a member of the crew of the vessel, aircraft, train or bus any person with intent to permit that person to enter Singapore contrary to the provisions of this Act or the regulations; or [Act 31 of 2023 wef 31/07/2025] ( b ) represents to an immigration officer that that person is a bona fide member of the crew of the vessel, aircraft, train or bus, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $4,000 and not less than $200 in respect of each such person.
