s 78 Disposal of property
78.—(1) Subject to subsection (2), the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code 2010 relating to the disposal of property the subject of an offence shall apply to any article coming into the possession of a police officer or any other person having any functions in connection with the operation of this Act which such officer or person has reasonable ground for believing to be evidence of the commission of an offence under this Act; and in relation to any such article any reference therein to a police officer shall have effect as if it included a reference to any such person. (2) Any article or material coming into the possession of a police officer under section 66 may be disposed of in such manner as the Minister may order. (3) Nothing in this section shall be taken to prejudice any right to retain or dispose of property which may exist in law apart from this section.
