s 80 Jurisdiction of District Court

80. Without prejudice to the jurisdiction of the General Division of the High Court, a District Court shall have jurisdiction to try any offence under this Act, other than an offence punishable with death, and to pass any sentence prescribed therefor not exceeding 5 years’ imprisonment or a fine of $5,000 or both.[40/2019]
